Town’s Chapel

Hexagonal web, a well-known feature by the architect Slobodan Vukajlović, was successfully used for Town’s Chapel in Nikšić in 1969. The author unexpectedly used a modernistic approach when modeling the building which earned him “September 18th”Award. He used his recognizable architectural language. Window openings are located at hexagon edges and, thus, the building faces the graveyard. Apart from the building itself, Vukajlović made a plan for the surrounding area.
